TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF B1122 ABBEY ROAD AND LOVER’S LANE LEISTON
SIZEWELL C (Nuclear Generating Station) intends to make an order temporarily closing B1122 Abbey Road from just south of its junction with Rowley Mews to approximately 50m north of its junction with Abbey Lane, and Lover’s Lane from its junction with B1122 Abbey Road to just north of the Leiston Waste Recycling Centre, to facilitate carriageway construction, streetlighting, and traffic signal installation.
It is intended that the closure will operate between the hours of 8pm on Friday 29th May until 5am on Monday 1st June.
Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.
The B1122 Abbey Road diversion route will be B1122, A12, A1094 and B1069 and vice versa.
The Lover’s Lane diversion route will be King George’s Avenue and B1122.
