THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(BIRMINGHAM NEW ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton
City Council propose to make an Order under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Parkfield Road closed in a westerley direction from
No 649 to the junction of Birmingham New Road.
Vehicular diversion route: Parkfield Road in an
easterly direction, Manor Road, Spring Road,
Birmingham New Road.
· Right-hand turn on Birmingham New Road
opposite Dimmock Street closed. Vehicular
diversion route: Birmingham New Road,
Lawnswood Avenue.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of
eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken from 05:00 on 18th May 2026 until
20:00 on 22nd May 2026.
The Order is required to facilitate heras fence on the
highway to create a safety zone during development
works.
