THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(MOUNTFORD LANE) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton
City Council propose to make an Order under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on Mountford Lane, in phases, between its
junctions with Mount Pleasant & Nightingale Place.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of
eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken from 18th May 2026 until 12th June
2026.
The diversion route is: Central Avenue, Lansdowne
Road, Bunkers Hill Lane, Mount Pleasant & vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate works to install new
LV electric cables by National Grid Electricity
Distribution.
