THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(BILSTON ROAD FOOTWAY) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
pedestrians from proceeding on Bilston Road Footway
outbound only between the junctions of Sharrock Street and
Navigation Street.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of six
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 19 May 2026 until 22 May 2026.
The pedestrian diversion route is: Sharrock Street,
Commercial Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a HV
cable duct by National Grid (Electricity Distribution).
