Gilbert Street East And Gilbert Street West - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving And Waiting, Loading And Unloading Order

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(GILBERT STREET EAST AND GILBERT STREET WEST, HUCKNALL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AND WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) ORDER 2026 (A26-060)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Hucknall in the District of Ashfield The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road

Gilbert Street East, Hucknall - For its entire length
Gibert Street West, Hucknall - For its entire length

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
Gilbert Street East, Hucknall - For its entire length
Gibert Street West, Hucknall - For its entire length

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above
road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01, Sunday 10th May 2026
Until 23:59, Sunday 31st May 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

The Order will come into force on Sunday 10th May 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Midlands Road Surfacing to carry out section S278 development and surfacing works;
