(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (BX26-091)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Kimberley in the Borough of Kimberley
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road as listed I paragraph 3.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at any time) in the following length of road as listed I paragraph 3.
3. Noel Street, Kimberley - From its junction with Nottingham Road for its entire length.
4. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
5. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above
road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours on Monday 11 th May 2026
Until 16:00 hours on Sunday 24 th May 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
No alternative diversion rote possible
The Order will come into force on 11th May 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable National Grid to carry out Ducting works to install a cable into a new substation.
