SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(Barclaugh Drive, Coylton) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

On 30 April 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing.

Temporary Road Closure – Barclaugh Drive, Coylton, For 147m from junction with A70.

No Waiting At Any Time - Barclaugh Drive, Coylton, For 147m from junction with A70 both sides of carriageway.

The Order commences on 18 May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 18 May 2026 at 08:00 until 29 May 2026 at 17:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route will be signed via Woodhead Road, C116, B742, A70 and vice versa.

(B734 , Pinwherry) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026

On 30 April 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order allow Carriageway Resurfacing.

Temporary Road Closure – B734 , Pinwherry, For 870m, From entrance to Craig House to Poundland.

The Order commences on 19 May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 19 May 2026 at 08:00 until 02 June 2026 at 17:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained when possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route will be signed via B734, Main Street, Colmonell, Rowantree Street, Colmonell, A77, A714 and vice versa.

(Belmont Crescent,Morton Avenue, Ayr - Belmont) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

On 30 April 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Power Works.

No Waiting At Any Time - Belmont Crescent, Morton Avenue, Ayr

Belmont Crescent - From junction with Morton Avenue to No.25 Belmont Crescent (34m - both sides of carriageway).

Morton Avenue - From outside No.19 to No.40 Morton Avenue (78m - both sides of carriageway).

The Order commences on 19 May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 19 May 2026 at 08:00 with the restrictions remaining in place until 01 June 2026 at 17:00. Days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

(B730, Bogend) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026

On 30 April 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Power Works.

Temporary Road Closure – B730, Bogend
From mini roundabout for 100m

The Order commences on 19 May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 19 May 2026 at 08:00 with the closure remaining in place until 01 June 2026 at 17:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Access for Emergency Services, residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained.

An alternative route will be signed via: Tarbolton Road - A77 - Symington Road South - A77 A77 - Bellfield Interchange - A77 - Tarbolton Road

(C11, Kirkmichael) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026

On 30 April 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing.

Temporary Road Closure – C11, Kirkmichael
From East Ayrshire Council Boundary to Greywalls Cottage for 2050 metres.

The Order commences on 18 May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 18 May 2026 at 08:00 until 01 June 2026 at 16:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 16:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible and safe to do so

An alternative route will be signed via C11 towards Patna turning left onto the A713 Ayr Road, turning left onto the B742, turning left onto the B7045 Maybole Road, turning left onto Patna Road Kirkmichael before re-joining the C11 and vice versa.
