What is happening?

RAISED ZEBRA CROSSING – MARY NEUNER ROAD N8

The Haringey (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.10) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey on 30th April 2026 has made the above mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 23 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and section 90a and 90c of the Highways Act 1980 and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 to introduce a raised zebra crossing on Mary Neuner Road N8.

The general effect of the Order would be to revoke no waiting at any time restrictions on Mary Neuner Road N8:

1. East side: from a point in line with the southern property boundary of Goldcrest House, southeast for approximately 25 metres.

2. West side: from a point 2.5 metres south from the southern property boundary of Goldcrest House, southeast for approximately 34.4 metres.

The above parking changes are required to facilitate the installation of the raised zebra crossing and associated zig-zag markings on Mary Neuner Road N8, on which vehicles would be prohibited from stopping at all times. These will be placed on the carriageway either side of the crossing, no more than 17.4 metres in either direction. The crossing will be located within the extent of the existing raised speed table on Mary Neuner Road with the centre located approximately 18 metres south from the southern property boundary of Goldcrest House and the width between the crossing give way lines at approximately 4.8 metres.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 6th May 2026.

Further details: an appointment can be made, by emailing traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk to inspect the Orders during normal office hours at the reception desk of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, or can be viewed online at https://streets.appyway.com/haringey once operational.

Application to the high court: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it does not comply with the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
