TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 16A

WHEELS THROUGH TIME PORT SUNLIGHT SPECIAL EVENT ORDER 2026

Whereas Wirral Borough Council are satisfied that the use of the roads listed below should be restricted to facilitate the above special event and to enable it to take place safely.

NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of its powers under s16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers having satisfied itself that it is not reasonably practicable for the event to be held without being on this road intends to make an Order in the following terms:

Temporary One-Way Traffic Regulation

King Georges Drive, Port Sunlight – from its junction with The Causeway to its junction with Windy Bank, vehicles shall proceed in a northerly direction.

Queen Marys Drive, Port Sunlight – From its junction with Windy Bank to its junction with The Causeway, vehicles shall proceed in a southerly direction.

Temporary Road Closure

Windy Bank, Port Sunlight from its junction with King Georges Drive to its junction Church Drive.

Alternative routes for diverted vehicular traffic will be signed accordingly.

The Order will not prevent reasonable access at any time for pedestrians to premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates nor any premises accessible only to pedestrians from such a road.

This Order will be known as the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral Wheels Through Time Port Sunlight Special Event Order 2026 and shall come into operation on 10 May 2026 and apply from 07:00am until 18:00 pm on that day only.

SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED)

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER

IN THE NEW FERRY AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act

1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Bebington Road (Temporary Prohibition of Driving) New Ferry Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to amend the existing Bebington Road and Various Street, New Ferry (One Way Street and Prohibition of Driving) Order 1986 to allow loading and unloading at any time on (i) Bebington Road from the south west side of its junction with New Chester Road to the north east side of its junction with Boundary Road (ii) Woodhead Street from its junction with Bebington Road for a distance of 15.2m (50ft) in a south easterly direction.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 18 May 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway.

SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED)

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER

IN THE BIRKENHEAD AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Milton Road East (Temporary Road Closure) Birkenhead Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to close Milton Road East, Birkenhead at its junction with Derby Road for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route: Derby Road, Chorlcombe Street, Laurel Road.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 26 May 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 15 June 2026.

SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED)

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER

IN THE PENSBY AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near the roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Ashlea Road (Temporary Road Closure) Pensby Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to close Ashlea Road, Pensby at its junction with Pensby Road for a distance of 90 metres in a westerly direction to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route: Pensby Road, Rosemead Avenue, Kentmere Drive.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 18 May 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29 May 2026.

SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED)

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER

IN THE WALLASEY AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Mosslands Drive (Prohibition of parking at any time) Wallasey Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to prohibit parking at any time on Mosslands Drive, Wallasey northeast side from a point 125 metres southeast of its junction with Kelmscott Drive for a distance of 52 metres and southwest side from a point 125 metres southeast of its junction with Kelmscott Drive for a distance of 45 metres.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 18 May 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway.
