(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE SOUTH EAST SIDE OF A1155 FAIRLANDS WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the south east side of A1155 Fairlands Way, Stevenage from its junction with Bedwell Crescent north eastwards for a distance of approximately 126m (“the Cycle Track”).
Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track.
The Order will come into effect from 25 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 12 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the cycle track.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN STEVENAGE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
- To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Coreys Mill Lane into the access road leading to ‘Lister Hospital’, Stevenage whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via Coreys Mill Lane, the A602 Hitchin Road roundabout and Coreys Mill Lane. - To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the exit road leading from ‘Lister Hospital’ ambulance drop off zone into Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via Coreys Mill Lane, the B197 North Road roundabout and Coreys Mill Lane.
The Order is needed because mast upgrade works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 25 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ARLESEY ROAD, ICKLEFORD) ORDER NO.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Arlesey Road, Ickleford from a point in line with the western boundary of No.1 ‘Riverside Cottages’ south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 67m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Arlesey Road, Hitchin Road, High Street, House Lane, Goodwin Drive, Arlesey Relief Road, A507 Arlesey Road, B656 Hitchin Road, A600 Bedford Road, Turnpike Lane and Arlesey Road.
The Order is needed because brickwork repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 26 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Stevenage Road, Wymondley from its junction with the A602 Wymondley Bypass/A1(M) (junction 8) roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 82m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A602 (Wymondley Bypass/Stevenage Road) and Stevenage Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 29 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ARCHER ROAD AND THE ROAD LEADING TO NOS.2–42 RIPON ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-
- that length of Archer Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the north eastern boundary of No.135 Archer Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m.
An alternative route will be via Archer Road, Webb Rise, Lonsdale Road and Archer Road. - the road leading to Nos.2–42 Ripon Road, Stevenage from its junction with Ripon Road eastwards and northwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B655 Hexton Road, Offley from its junction with Hitchin Road north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 3018m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B655 Pirton Road, A505 (Offley Road/Moormead Hill/Offley Bypass/Hitchin Road/Stopsley Way), A5228 (Hitchin Road/Stockings Way), A6 (New Bedford Road/Barton Road/Luton Road) and B655 (Luton Road/Hexton Road/Barton Road/Hitchin Road).
The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON GREYDELLS ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of road (“the lengths of Road”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Road whilst works are in progress:-
- that length of Greydells Road, Stevenage from its junction with Sish Lane north westwards to its junction with Haycroft Road, a distance of approximately 330m.
An alternative route will be via Sish Lane, Barclay Crescent and Haycroft Road. - the road leading to Nos.21–35 Greydells Road, Stevenage from its southernmost junction with Greydells Road clockwise for a distance of approximately 97m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the lengths of Road.
The Order will come into effect from 25 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the lengths of Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Newell Lane, Luffenhall from its northernmost junction with Luffenhall south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mobbsbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Chells Way north eastwards, north westwards and northwards to its junction with B1037 Fairlands Way, a distance of approximately 807m (“the Road”).
