Notice of Intent - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - North Somerset Council - Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places - (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Variation No.26) Order 2026 - Ref: PSWLP/DB/2607
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to include Parking restrictions in several areas of North Somerset.
The extent of the proposals are as described in the Schedule to this notice.

Schedule - Part 3: Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Stopping, Loading and Unloading - Parking Restrictions -
High Street, Blagdon, install new parking bay with one hour waiting, map 13.
Chapel Hill, Clevedon, install double yellow lines both sides of the road from Highdale Avenue, map 2.
Kenn Moor Drive, Clevedon, removal of double yellow lines on the northern side of road between Central Way and Cox Way, map 3.
Dundry Lane, Dundry, install double yellow lines around the junction with the A38 Bridgwater Road both sides of the road for 20m, map 4.
Banyard Road and Portbury Way, Portbury, amendment to existing no waiting restrictions for heavy goods vehicles from the current 7.5t to 5t, map 1.
Walliscote Road, Weston-super-Mare, extend the double yellow lines 5m across the dropped kerb adjacent to The Courtyard, Quantock Road, map 11.
Alfred Street, Weston-super-Mare, extend the existing paid parking bay by 12m over the existing bus stop outside property numbers 40/42, 3hr maximum stay Monday to Saturday between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm, map 10.
Upper Kewstoke Road, Weston-super-Mare, install double yellow lines the full length of the northeast side of the road, map 7.
Stuart Road, Weston-super-Mare, install double yellow lines to the western side of the access road adjacent to property number 24 Stuart Road, map 12.
Bransby Way, Weston-super-Mare, install double yellow lines to extend 15m from the give way line opposite property numbers 72, 70 and 68 Bransby Way, map 9.
Scot Elm Drive, Weston-super-Mare, amendment to existing no waiting restrictions for heavy goods vehicles from the current 7.5t to 5t, map 8.
Ash Grove, Laurel Drive, Uphill, install single yellow lines on the western side of the road and around the turning circle between the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, map 15.
Thornbury Road, Uphill, install double yellow lines either side of the entrance to Jackson Barsow House property number 26 Thornbury Road, map 14.
Uphill Road South, Uphill, removal of 28m of double yellow lines on west side of the road, north of St Nicholas Church, map 15.
A38 Redhill (layby opposite Darlington Arms), install a parking bay limiting waiting to two hours, map 6.
New Road, Wrington, install double yellow lines around junction with A38 Bridgwater Road on both sides of the road for 20m, map 5.

Notice Of Variation North Somerset Council - Off-Street Parking Charges Station Road Car Park, Nailsea
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 35C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 proposes to vary the Scale of Charges detailed in Schedule 1 of the North Somerset Council Nailsea (Off-Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2025.

The new charges that apply will change from 8:00am on 1 June 2026 (charges apply between 9:00am and 6:00pm Mon to Sat): Station Road Car Park, Nailsea - old charges (1hr £1, 2hrs £1.50, 3hrs £2.50, all day £3.50), new charges (2hrs £1, 3hrs £2.50, all day £3.50).

This Notice only applies to the charges above and in all other respects the provisions of the North Somerset Council Nailsea (Off-Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2025 will remain in force.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) - Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Providence Lane, Long Ashton, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026 - Date coming into Force: 27 July 2026 - Ref: SW26.27-038
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water Services for a frame and cover repair. This order will become operative on the 27 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be 1 day in duration between 9:30am and 3:00pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace gas mains and renew/transfer service pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 4 January 2027 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 54 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Newlands Hill, Portishead, North Somerset - Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2027 - Date coming into Force: 1 March 2027 - Ref: SW26.27-042
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace gas mains and renew/transfer service pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 1 March 2027 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 58 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpath LA12/43/10, Long Ashton, North Somerset - Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026 - Date coming into Force: 6 July 2026 - Ref: SW26.27-044
Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to divert a water main. This order will become operative on the 6 July 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of approximately 63 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:
Clover Close, Clevedon, North Somerset - Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026 - Date coming into Force: 18 May 2026 - Ref: SW25.26-314
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water Services Limited to replace a cover in carriageway. This order will become operative on the 18 May 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach Limited for a pole test. This order will become operative on the 22 May 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
