Notice is hereby given that Manchester City Council made the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The title and affect of the Orders will be as follows City Of Manchester (Whitchurch Road And Princess Road, Withington) (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting And Loading /Unloading (Amendment) Order 2026 No Waiting At Any Time on: Princess Rd - the north-west side from a point 190m north-east of its junction with Nell Ln in a north-easterly direction to a point 30m north-east of the projected north eastern kerbline of Whitchurch Rd. south-east side from its junction with Whitchurch Rd in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 20m. south-east side from its junction with Whitchurch Rd in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 30m.
Whitchurch Rd - both sides from its junction with Princess Rd in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 24m. No Waiting Monday to Saturday 8.00am to 9.30am on:
Princess Rd - north-west side from a point 30m north-east of the projected north eastern kerbline of Whitchurch Rd in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Mauldeth Rd West. No Waiting Monday to Friday 4.30pm to 6.30pm on:
Princess Rd - south-east side from a point 30m north of its junction with Whitchurch Rd in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Stirling Ave. south-east side from a point 26m north-east of its junction with Moorgate Ave in a north-easterly direction to a point 20m south-west of its junction with Whitchurch Rd. No Loading at Any Time on:
Princess Rd - south-east side from its junction with Whitchurch Rd in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 30m. south-east side from its junction with Whitchurch Rd in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 20m.
Whitchurch Rd - both sides from its junction with Princess Rd in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 24m.
City Of Manchester (Whitchurch Road And Princess Road, Withington) (Prohibition Of Right Turn And U-Turn) Order 2026
Prohibition Of Right Turn on: Whitchurch Rd - (Westbound), into Princess Rd. Prohibition Of U Turns on:
Princess Rd - opposite Hough End Leisure Centre access, No U Turns in the gap around central reservation from southwest into northeast carriageway at its junction with Whitchurch Road, No U Turns in the gap around central reservation from southwest into northeast carriageway. Existing Orders have been amended to be consistent with the proposals.
The Orders will come into operation on the 7th May 2026.
Copy of the made Orders together with the plans showing the proposals may be inspected at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm on Mon - Fri.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may within 6 weeks from 5th May 2026 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
