SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL
(Road Fronting No. 268-294 Badminton Road, Downend)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Road Fronting No. 268-294 Badminton Road which extends from a point 40m south west of Blackhorse Lane south westwards for 130m.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon CIPR patch repair works on or adjacent to the highway.
The order became operative from 11 May 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration.
Alternative route: Blackhorse Lane, Badminton Road and vice versa.
(Public Footpath PMR/4/10, Downend)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the entire length of Public Footpath PMR/4/10.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon CIPR patch repair works.
The order became operative from 11 May 2026 for a maximum period of six months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration. No alternative route available.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of Old Down Hill Footway which extends from Public Footpath OOL/53 to Public Footpath OOL/57.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon unsafe leaning boundary wall.
The order became operative from 14 May 2026 for a maximum period of six months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated, which is anticipated to be of 5 months duration. Alternative route: OOL/53, OOL/49, OOL/55 and vice versa.
(Peache Road, Downend and Northcote Road, Downend and Mangotsfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Peache Road and Northcote Road which extends from Westerleigh Road to St. James Street.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works.
The order will be operative from 5 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration, between 7:30am and 4pm.
Alternative route: Westerleigh Road, Blackhorse Road, Richmond Road, Northcote Road (part unaffected) and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Kennedy Way which extends from Normandy Drive to Heron Way.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon bridge removal works on or adjacent to the highway.
The order will be operative from 1 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration.
Alternative route: A432 (part unaffected), B4059, Peg Hill, B4060, St Johns Way, A432 (part unaffected) and vice versa.

(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Mill Lane which extends from Golden Valley Lane eastwards for 20m.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with new water supply works.
The order will be operative from 1 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration.
Alternative route: Mill Lane (part unaffected), Wick Lane, Brewery Hill, Bath Road, Golden Valley Lane and vice versa.

(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Gipsy Patch Lane which extends from Bush Avenue to Titan Road.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with coloured surfacing works.
The order will be operative from 1 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 week duration, between 8pm and 6am.
Alternative route: B4057 (part unaffected), A38, A4174, Rosedown Avenue, Great Stoke Way, B4057 (part unaffected) and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Factory Road which extends from The Gully southwards for 22m.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon telecom ducting works on or adjacent to the highway.
The order will be operative from 3 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with fibre overhead cabling works.
The order will be operative from 4 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
