What is happening?

SOMERSET COUNCIL

Parish Of Hinton St. George - Temporary Closure Of Old Farm Place

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Old Farm Place - from the junction with Abbey Street, westwards for a total distance of 47 metres. This Order will enable Dare Utilities Ltd to carry out excavation and ducting works on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 6th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 11th May 2026 and last until 13th May 2026 between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 for a total of 3 days.
