Willerby Square Roundabout - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic For Gas Mains Reinforcement Works
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
WILLERBY SQUARE ROUNDABOUT, WILLERBY
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Willerby Square Roundabout, Willerby (inside lane and full closure from central reservation on Kingston Road to the roundabout). The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed high profile gas mains reinforcement works to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 15 June 2026. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Kingston Road, Willerby Square Roundabout and Gorton Road Roundabout, Willerby. The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 18 May 2026 (between 08.00 hours and 17.00 hours) and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Further information can be obtained from Streetscene Services, Highways Maintenance, telephone (01482) 393939. Ref: JS.
