Parish Of Crewkerne - Temporary Closure Of Hewish Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Hewish Lane - from the junction with Chard Road, south-westwards for a total distance of 399 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out phased new connection works (as and when signed on site).
The Order becomes effective on 6th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 11th May 2026 and last until 22nd May 2026 (excluding 16th May 2026 - 17th May 2026) between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 10 days.
