What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF STOPPING (24 HOUR RURAL CLEARWAY) CATTON ROAD AND UNNAMED ROAD LEADING FROM CATTON ROAD PAST CATTON PARK, WALTON ON TRENT TO CATTON

WHEN:
Temporary 30mph Speed Limit:
From 20 May to 24 May 2026, 25 June to 29 June 2026 and 05 August to 10 August 2026.

Temporary Prohibition of Stopping (24hr Rural Clearway):
From 08 May to 29 May 2026, 15 June to 02 July 2026 and 27 July to 14 August 2026.

WHERE:
It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 30mph and prohibit stopping at any time on Catton Road and the unnamed road leading from Catton Road past Catton Park, between the Derbyshire / Staffordshire county boundary at Catton and a point 3950 metres (4320 yards) north of that point at Walton on Trent.

REASON: To provide a safe environment for event traffic and pedestrians during major events at Catton Hall.
The restriction will be in force for the time stated.

Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire - 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph and to prohibit stopping at any time.
