Parishes Of Lopen And Hinton St. George Temporary Closure Of Merriott Road And Eggwood Hill
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Merriott Road - from the junction with Lopen Road, south-eastwards incorporating Eggwood Hill, for a total distance of 1395 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out pole testing works.
The Order becomes effective on 6th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 12th May 2026 and last until 12th May 2026 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
