What is happening?

SOMERSET COUNCIL

Parish Of North Petherton - Temporary Closure Of Queen Street And North Street

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Queen Street - from the junction with North Street to the junction with Clare Street and North Street - from the junction with Queen Street to the east junction with High Street. A total distance of 347 metres. This Order will enable Proconect DMT to carry out cabling, desilting and civil works on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 19th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 26th May 2026 and last until 28th May 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days.
