Public Footpath BCRIV/1, Brooke Place, Kingsmead, Bath - Temporary closure due to landscaping improvements
What is happening?
Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order to temporarily close the section of Public Footpath BCRIV/1 commencing from a junction with Public Footpath BC35/12 at ST73926511 and proceeding in a generally ESE direction for approx 115m to ST74036508.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the right of way: namely the applicant will be carrying out landscaping improvements as part of the Bath Riverline Project. The Order will come into force on 18th May 2026 and will be effective until 26th June 2026.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE FOR WALKERS: Public Footpath BC35/12 – Upper Bristol Road – Victoria Bridge Road – Public Byway BC44/3 – Public Footpath BC45/14 – Public Footpath BCRIV/1. Vice Versa.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE FOR CYCLISTS: Public Footpath BCRIV/1 – Public Footpath BC35/10 - Midland Road – Upper Bristol Road – Nile Street – Nelson Place West – Nelson Villas – Public Footpath BCRIV/1. Vice Versa.
