Verdant Lane - Introduce A One-Way Road Closure
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford has made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (VERDANT LANE) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026.
The Order will introduce a one-way road closure on Verdant Lane, from the rear of 17 Brookhouse Avenue, to the junction of Brookhouse Avenue, Eccles, M30 7PT.
The Order is necessary as part of Cadent Gas' gas mains replacement scheme. The order is due to come into operation on Monday 25th May 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Monday 15th June 2026. The diversion routes are via Verdant Lane - Trippier Road - Northfleet Road - Brookhouse Avenue.
