Sawley Road - Temporary Road Closure To Maintenance Works
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE SAWLEY ROAD, BREASTON
WHEN: 09 May to 10 May 2026 (23:45 to 07:45).
WHERE: Sawley Road, Breaston at the level crossing approx. 700m south of the A6005 Wilsthorpe Road Jct.
REASON: To facilitate the maintenance works on National Rail assets.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sawley Road, Draycott Road, B6540 Tamworth Road, Wilne Road, Sawley Road, Draycott, A6005 Draycott Road, Sawley Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
