SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF OLD GREEN LANE, WILBERFOSS
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
part of Old Green Lane, Wilberfoss from its junction
with Bolton Lane heading east towards Newbridge
Lane heading north onto Ling Lane and Storking Lane
and east onto Main Street and along the A1079 Hull
Road commencing 1 June 2026 to allow works for
installation of ducting and chambers for the new fibre
network. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for
18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within five days. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure will be via:
Bolton Lane, Newbridge Lane, Ling Lane, Storking
Lane, Main Street and A1079 Hull Road, Catton CP,
Wilberfoss CP, Fangfoss CP, Pocklington Provincial
Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians.
