SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF ROAD TO HANGING GRIMSTON,
KIRBY UNDERDALE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of road to Hanging Grimston, Kirby Underdale heading
northbound along Gatehowe Road to its junction with
Roman Road heading east to the junction of Uncleby
Hill proceeding onto Painsthorpe Lane to install ducting
and chambers for the new fibre network.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within four days. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure will be via Howe
Lane, Uncleby Hill, Roman Road and Gatehowe Road,
Thixendale CP, Kirby Underdale CP, Wolds Weighton
Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians.
