SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF COLDWOLD, WARTER
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Coldwold, Warter from its junction with Cobdale
Lane westbound to Warren Farm Access Road
commencing 3 June 2026 to allow for tree trimming/
felling works to achieve vegetation clearance from
the overhead electricty supply. The road closure
is necessary to enable the works to be carried out
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but
it is anticipated that the works will be completed
within seven hours. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the road closure will be via Cobdale Lane,
Cobdale, Pasture Lane, Millington Pastures, Wood
Gate, Swineridge Lane,Grimthorpe Lane, The Mile,
Mill Farm Access Road, The Mile Roundabout, Bridge
Street, London Street, St Helens Gate, Kilnwick Road,
Millington Lane and Kilnwick Percy Hill, Huggate
CP, Nunburnholme CP, Warter CP, Millington CP,
Pocklington CP, Pocklington Provincial Ward, Wolds
Weighton Ward. The diversion route will be signed
at the time of closure. The road will be closed to
all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
