SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U8548 HAGMORE GREEN, BOXFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8548 Hagmore Green, Boxford to facilitate carriageway repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Brick Kiln Lane, Boxford, Brick Kiln Lane, Polstead, B1068, A134 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/06/2026 - 06/06/2026 from 8am - 5pm, with a return to site scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3820 ASHE ROAD, A12 MAIN ROAD, U2213 MARLESFORD ROAD AND C241 BELL LANE, MARLESFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U3820 Ashe Road, Marlesford from the A12 for 130 metres southbound and the A12 Main Road, Marlesford from 570 metres west of Marlesford Road for 1973 metres eastbound

  2. U2213 Marlesford Road, Marlesford from the junction with the A12 for 128 metres northbound

  3. C241 Bell Lane, Marlesford from the junction with the A12 for 173 metres north eastbound

  4. C241 Bell Lane, Marlesford from the junction with the A12 for 173 metres north eastbound

  5. A12 Main Road, Marlesford from 55 metres west of Bell Lane for 514 metres westbound

  6. U3820 Ashe Road, Marlesford from the junction with the A12 for 130 metres southbound and,

  7. C241 Bell Lane, Marlesford from the junction with the A12 for 173 metres north eastbound

This is to facilitate installation of barriers, footpaths, crossings and signage and realign carriageway. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

Phase 1:

• Diversion 1: the A1152, the B1069, the A1094, the A12 and vice versa

• Diversion 2: the B1078, the A12 and vice versa

Phase 2:

• Marlesford Road, the B1116, the A12 and vice versa

Phase 3:

• the A12, Buttons Road, New Road and vice versa

Phase 4:

• the A12, Buttons Road, New Road and vice versa

Phase 5:

• Diversion 1: the A12, the A1152, the B1069, the A1094, the A12 and vice versa

• Diversion 2: the B1078, the A12 and vice versa

Phase 6:

• the B1078, the A12 and vice versa

Phase 7:

• the A12, Buttons Road, New Road and vice versa

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

  1. 05/05/2026 - 08/05/2026 from 7pm - 5am

  2. 05/05/2026 - 04/07/2026

  3. 25/05/2026 - 04/07/2026 from 7pm - 5am

  4. 25/05/2026 - 04/07/2026 from 7pm - 5am

  5. 29/06/2026 - 04/07/2026

  6. 29/06/2026 - 26/08/2026

  7. 13/07/2026 - 21/07/2026 from 7pm - 5am

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C362 BONDS CORNER AND CLOPTON ROAD, GRUNDSBURGH AND SWILLAND

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

• C362 Bonds Corner, Grundisburgh from the junction with Stoney Road to Clopton Road

• C362 Clopton Road, Grundisburgh

• C362 Clopton Road, Swilland from Clopton Road, Grundisburgh to Boundary Farm

This is to facilitate the installation of fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bonds Corner Grundisburgh, Market Hill Grundisburgh, Market Hill Clopton, Grundisburgh Road Clopton, Otley Road, Otley Bottom, Swilland Road, the Road from Gibraltar Road to Swilland Road, Ashbocking Road Swilland, the B1078 Ashbocking Road Witnesham, the B1077 Ashbocking Road Witnesham, Bergthorp Drive, Upper Street, American Hill, Moat Hill, The Street Witnesham, Ipswich Road, Rose Hill, Westerfield Road Westerfield, Westerfield Road Ipswich, Valley Road, Tuddenham Road, Main Road Westerfield, Main Road Tuddenham St Martin, The Street Tuddenham St Martin, Clopton Road Tuddenham St Martin, Clopton Road Witnesham and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/05/2026 - 29/05/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
