Poplars road, Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire - Temporary restrictions for Gas Main Replacement works

HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") Wedi gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:  

1.     Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar 18fed Mai 2026 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith yn cael ei gwblhau rhwng 18fed  Mai 2026 a’r 31ain Mai 2026.  

2.     Roedd y Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol er mwyn i wneud gwaith yn adnewyddu Pibellau Nwy mewn modd diogel yn y lleoliad.  Cedwir mynediad rhesymol i eiddo sy'n wynebu'r darnau o'r ffordd yr effeithir arnynt yn ystod y cyfnod cau.  

3.     Effaith y Gorchymyn oedd cau dros dro rhan o Heol Poplars, Llandeilo Bertholau, Sir Fynwy, o'r gyffordd â Rhodfa Hillgrove i'r gyffordd â Chlos Poplars, gyda phellter cau bras o ~65m.  

4.     Roedd llwybr dargyfeirio fel a ganlyn: Heol Poplars, Rhodfa Greystones, Heol Henffordd, Heol Gwent, Heol Firs ac i’r gwrthwyneb.  

5.     Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dros Dro Heol Poplars, Llandeilo Bertholau, Sir Fynwy 2026.  

6.     Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

SECTION 14 - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(POPLARS ROAD, LLANTILIO PERTHOLEY, MONMOUTHSHIRE)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2026  

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Has made an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984  

1.     The Order shall come into operation on the 18th May 2026 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated  

2.     The order was necessary for Gas Main Replacement works to take place in a safe manner at the location. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.  

3.     The effect of the order was to temporarily close a section of Poplars Road, Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire, from its junction with Hillgrove Avenue to its junction with Poplars Close, epprox closure distance ~65m.  

4.     A signed diversionary route was in place as follows:- Poplars Road, Greystones Avenue, Hereford Road, Gwent Road, Firs Road and vice versa.  

5.     This order may be cited as the Poplars Road, Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026  

6.     By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
