MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 149951742 : The City of Manchester (Bronte Street, Hulme Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Bronte Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Aquarius Street, Greenheys Lane, Bronte Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate remedial works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 18th May 2026 to 15th June 2026 as and when traffic management is deployed.
The order shall come into operation on 18th May 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 6th May 2026.
ORDER NO. MCC000 149869567 : The City of Manchester (Grosvenor Street, Hulme Ward) (Temporary No waiting and No Loading) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to restrict vehicular traffic From York Street to 137 Grosvenor Street. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate Utility works It is expected that the works will be in progress from 17th May 2026 to 22nd May 2026.
The order shall come into operation on 17th May 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If the restriction ends within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
