What is happening?

O 05/05/26 fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw gerbyd rhag defnyddio’r darn hwnnw o:
1. CILGANT SAN SIÔR a FARNDON STREET – 5 hyd at 29 Mai 2026 – Cau Lonydd
Cilgant San Siôr, Wrecsam, o’r gyffordd â Stryt y Farchnad, i’r gyffordd â Smithfield Road. Mae’r lôn hon mewn cysylltiad â chau Stryd y Farchnad i un cyfeiriad.
Stryd Farndon, Wrecsam o’r gyffordd â Chylchfan Ffordd Holt i’r gyffordd â Crescent Road, sef 200m.
2. SMITHFIELD ROAD – 22 Mai i 23 Mehefin 2026 – Cau Lôn
Smithfield Road, Wrecsam, o’r gyffordd â Farndon Street, i’r gyffordd â chylchfan Smithfield Road. Mae’r lôn hon ar gael mewn cysylltiad â’r gwaith sy’n cael ei wneud ar Crescent Road. Mae hyn er mwyn galluogi O’Connor Utilities ar ran Scottish Power i gloddio a gosod cebl foltedd uchel ar ymyl y ffordd ac yn y lôn gerbydau. Disgwylir i’r gwaharddiad bara 2 fis (23/06/26), neu hyd nes bydd y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau os bydd hynny’n gynt, a gallai bara hyd at 18 mis.

Wrexham County Borough Council has made a TEMPORARY (PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
effective from 05/05/2026 prohibiting any vehicle from using that length of:
1. ST. GEORGE’S CRESCENT and FARNDON STREET – 5th to 29th May 2026 – Lane Closures
St George’s Crescent, Wrexham, from its junction with Market Street, to its junction with Smithfield Road. This lane closure is in association with the one-way closure of Market Street.
Farndon Street, Wrexham from its junction with Holt Road Roundabout to its junction with Crescent Road, a distance of 200m.
2. SMITHFIELD ROAD – 22nd May to 23rd June 2026 – Lane Closures
Smithfield Road, Wrexham, from its junction with Farndon Street, to its junction with Smithfield Road roundabout. This lane closure is in association with the works to be undertaken on Crescent Road. This is to enable O’Connor Utilities on behalf of Scottish Power to excavate and install a HV cable in the verge and in the carriageway. The prohibition is expected to last for 2 months (23/06/26), or until completion of the works if earlier, with a maximum duration of 18 months.
