The County of Cornwall (Belle Vue, Newlyn) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 4th May 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Newlyn.

This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 18th May 2026 to 22nd May 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Road affected - Belle Vue, Newlyn between the property known as Boase Castle House and the junction of Gwavas Road.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Ives.

This prohibition is necessary for defect repair works and it is expected that the closure will be from 1st June 2026 to 3rd June 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1730 and 0700, weekdays only.

Road affected - Custom House Passage, St Ives for its entire length.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 4th May 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Penzance.

This prohibition is necessary for ducting works and it is expected that the closure will be from 20th May 2026 to 22nd May 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0800 and 1800, weekdays only.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 4th May 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Hayle.

This prohibition is necessary for electric connection works and it is expected that the closure will be from 19th May 2026 to 22nd May 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Road affected - Station Hill, Hayle between grid references SW5596737280 and SW5595637251.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 4th May 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Ives.

This prohibition is necessary for surfacing works and it is expected that the closure will be from 18th May 2026 to 19th May 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0600, weekdays only.

Road affected - The Terrace, St Ives between the property known as number 14 and the junction of Road From Albert Road To The Terrace.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Ives.

This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 3rd June 2026 to 5th June 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1800, weekdays only.Road affected - Ayr Lane, St Ives for its entire length.

Temporary Speed Restriction Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to impose a temporary speed restriction of 40 MPH over an area of highway being Kenegie Hill, Gulval between grid references SW4828332328 and SW4817332203 for approximately 200 metres. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because poling and tree works are being executed on or near the road. 

The Order will come into operation on 4th June 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 4th June 2026. The restriction will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530 on a daily basis, weekdays only.

Cornwall Council
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 12th May 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Street An Pol, St Ives for its entire length.

The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out repairs to gas escape. The Order will come into operation on 13th May 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 22nd May 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 22nd April 2026 for a period of up to 21 days.
