What is happening?

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH DIVERSION ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257
CITY OF LINCOLN COUNCIL PUBLIC FOOTPATH 989 (AT CHARTERHOLME WAY) DIVERSION ORDER 2026

On 22 April 2026 the City of Lincoln Council confirmed the above-named Order. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the footpath to which this order relates in order to enable development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted under Part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, namely: 2019/0294/RG3 Western Growth Corridor, Skellingthorpe Road, Lincoln.
The diverted public footpath will run from a point on the unaffected part of Lincoln Public Footpath 989 running from A - C - D - E - F - B as shown on the order map.

A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at City of Lincoln Council, City Hall, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln, LN1 1DD from 9.00a.m and 5.00p.m Monday to Thursday and 9.00am and 4.30pm on Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £25.

The Order came into force as from 22 April 2026 but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity of it, or of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Town and County Planning Act 1990, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any Regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Section 287 of the Act within 42 days from 7 May 2026 make an application to the High Court.
