Sidmouth, Devon - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic for public rights of way due to woodland management works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL
(FOOTPATHS No. 63 & 64, and BRIDLEWAY No. 65, SIDMOUTH)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.
From: Monday, 27th April 2026
To: Monday, 26th October 2026
No persons and/or horse riders shall proceed on the sections of the affected paths except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of paths. The order will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Public rights of way affected: FOOTPATHS No. 63 & 64, and BRIDLEWAY No. 65, SIDMOUTH
- Footpath 63 – for full length.
- Footpath 64 – from northern end down to junction with Footpath 67.
- Bridleway 65 – from junction with Footpath 63 at northern end to junction with Footpath 67.
There is no alternative route. The closure is necessary to enable woodland management works. Further information may be obtained by contacting Public Rights of Way on 0345 155 1004.
