UNNAMED C170 LLANRHIDIAN TO LLANMADOC LINK, SWANSEA NOTICE 2026

NOTICE: is hereby given that the Council of the City and County of Swansea in pursuance of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) has made an Order. In order for Swansea Council to undertake resurfacing works, it will be necessary to temporarily close the above-named road to vehicular traffic. Between 09:30 to 15:00 and 18:00 to 22:00

SCHEDULE 1 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
UNNAMED C170 LLANRHIDIAN TO LLANMADOC LINK, SWANSEA
Unnamed C170 Llanrhidian to Llanmadoc link road in a southerly direction to its junction with Unnamed C169 known locally as Norh Gower Road over its entire length, a distance of approximately 5.6 kilometres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the unnamed C169 known locally as North Gower Road, Kyfts Lane, and the unaffected section of C170 a distance of approximately 6 kilometres.

Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction and is suitable for light vehicles only.

Access for emergency vehicles to be maintained at all times.

The maximum duration of the order is 18 months, and it is anticipated the work will take 2 weeks (between 09:30 to 15:00 and 18:00 to 22:00) to complete effective from Wednesday 6th May 2026.
