Mae'r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol am nad yw’r lôn gerbydau yn ddigon llydan i gynnal mynediad i gerbydau yn ystod gwaith trin coed ac er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd.Daw'r Gorchymyn i rym ar 06/05/2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am hyd at 18 mis neu nes bydd y gwaith wedi'i gwblhau, p'un bynnag sydd gynharaf.Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith arfaethedig yn cael ei wneud rhwng 20:00 a 06:00 o 09/05/2026 i 10/05/2026.
Atodlen-Ni chaiff unrhyw berson beri i unrhyw gerbyd fynd ymlaen tua 160 metr o Quarella Road, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr, o'r gyffordd â Quarella Crescent i'r gyffordd â Quarella.Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerbydau yw trwy:Llwybr 1: Trwy Quarella Road, Boulevard de Villenave D'Ornon, Coity Road, Litchard Cross, Litchard Terrace, Quarella Road.Llwybr 2: Trwy Quarella Road, Litchard Terrace, Litchard Cross, Coity Road, Boulevard De Villenave D’Ornon, Quarella Road.Bydd mynediad trwy ardal y cyfyngiad i’r Heddlu a’r Gwasanaethau Tân ac Ambiwlans wrth ymateb i argyfyngau. BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(QUARELLA ROAD, BRIDGEND) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Bridgend in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) has made an Order which temporarily introduces the restriction set out in the schedule below. The Order is necessary due to insufficient width of carriageway to maintain vehicular access during tree surgery works and is in the interest of public safety. The Order will come into force on the 06/05/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated the planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 from 09/05/2026 to 10/05/2026.
Schedule-No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed approximately 160 meters of Quarella Road, Bridgend, from its junction with Quarella Crescent to its junction with Quarella.The alternative route for vehicles is via:Route 1: Via Quarella Road, Boulevard De Villenave D’Ornon, Coity Road, Litchard Cross, Litchard Terrace, Quarella road.Route 2: Via Quarella Road, Litchard Terrace, Litchard Cross, Coity Road, Boulevard De Villenave D’Ornon, Quarella road.Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.Dated:06/05/2026
