MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC 149454631 : The City of Manchester (Laystall Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Laystall Street between Tariff Street & Great Ancoats Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Tariff Street, Brewer Street, Dean Street, Port Street, Houldsworth Street, Lever Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane. It is expected that the works will be in progress on 9th & 10th May 2026 with backup dates of 16th & 17th May 2026. The order shall come into operation on 9th May 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
