THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (ASTLEY STREET, STOCKPORT (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF BUS LANE) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which introduced a Temporary Suspension of the Bus Lane at Astley Street, Stockport, northbound bus lane for the full length, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary to allow a principal bridge inspection to take place. It is estimated these works will last 1 night. No diversion will be provided. This Notice does not apply to pedestrians. This Order will come into operation on 1 July 2026 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
