What is happening?

NORTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL
TWEED CRESCENT, WISHAW (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

On 27 April the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on footway resurfacing works) on Tweed Crescent, Wishaw from the west junction of Traquair Avenue to the east junction of Traquair Avenue by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.

The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 11 May 2026 and will remain in operation until 23:59 hours on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
