TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (SILCHESTER ROAD) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Silchester Road, to be closed at the junction of Bramley Road.
The Road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Monday 18th May 2026 until 18.00hrs on Tuesday 19th May 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Diverted through traffic may use Silchester Road, Bramley Road, Cambridge Gardens, St Marks Road, Silchester Road, in both directions.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
- anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
- Anything done in connection with the execution of said works
