What is happening?

Temporary Traffic Management Order, Various Roads,
St Leonards and St Ives
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 15th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2nd June 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary road closure on: Fernwood Close, St Leonards and St Ives; High Street, St Leonards and St Ives; Horton Road, St Leonards and St Ives; Lions Lane, St Leonards and St Ives, and St Ives Wood Road, St Leonards and St Ives as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Fernwood Close, St Leonards and St Ives; High Street, St Leonards and St Ives; Horton Road, St Leonards and St Ives; Lions Lane, St Leonards and St Ives, and St Ives Wood Road, St Leonards and St Ives.

[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Old Ham Lane, Ferndown and Unnamed Lane Between Hampreston Village And Ham Lane, Ferndown.

Temporary Traffic Management Order, Holt Road, Mannington
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 09:00 - 16:00 on 12th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 21st May 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary road closure on: Holt Road, Mannington as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Holt Road, Mannington.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Public Footpath E42/3, Ferndown
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath E42/3, Ferndown from grid reference SZ 06259 98764 to grid reference SZ 06234 99036, a distance of approximately 280 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 11th May 2026 for a period of 26 weeks, however it is anticipated the works will be complete by 27th August 2026.
This Order is required to allow SSE to carry out critical works to replace their power lines.
An alternative route will be provided.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of Watery Lane, Upton
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 26th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26th August 2026.
This Order will enable Mackoy Ltd to carry out road widening, gully, kerbing and footway works.
The effect of the Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary road closure on; Watery Lane between its junction with Osprey Close and Policemans Lane as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To impose a temporary road closure on; Watery Lane between its junction with Policemans Lane and Frenchs Farm Road as indicated by signs on site.
[iii] To impose a temporary revocation of the one-way prohibition order on Osprey Close to facilitate temporary two-way access whilst the closure of Watery Lane is in place as indicated by signs on site.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The effect of the Order will be to extend and introduce no waiting at any time and no loading at any time restrictions along sections of Dorchester Road, Lytchett Minster.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The effect of the Order will be to introduce 30mph and 40mph speed limits along sections or entire lengths of various roads in Lytchett Minster.
