What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(LEA ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council an Order under Section 14(1)(a) have made
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Lea Road outside
property 86.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken on 5 May 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and
16:00.
The diversion route is: Stubbs Road, Penn Road and vice
versa.
The Order is required to facilitate the lining and patching of
defective line from within the manhole.
