(MANCHESTER ROAD AREA, NELSON, PENDLE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND VARIOUS PARKING RESTRICTIONS)
ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council proposed to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. Following consultation carried out between 13th February 2026 and 13th March 2026, it is now intended to modify the proposed Order as titled above, as set out below.
1. Revoke the "Lancashire County Council (Pendle Area) (On Street Parking Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Consolidation Order 2009" insofar as it relates to:
a) Item (211)c)(iii) of Schedule 10.01;
b) Item (9)(i) of Schedule 11.007.
2. Remove the prohibition of waiting in Albert Street, Nelson, the north east side, from its junction with the centreline of Manchester Road to its junction with the centreline of Rear 56 to 66 Manchester Road.
3. Remove the prohibition of loading and unloading in Albert Street, Nelson, Albert Street, Nelson, the north east side, from its junction with Manchester Road (A682) for a distance of 25 metres in a north westerly direction.
4. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Albert Street, Nelson, the north east side, from its junction with the centreline of Manchester Road for a distance of 21.5 metres in a north westerly direction;
b) Manchester Road, Nelson, the north west side, from a point 16 metres south west of its junction with the centreline of Macleod Street for a distance of 22 metres in a north easterly direction.
5. Introduce a prohibition of loading and unloading in Albert Street, Nelson, Albert Street, Nelson, the north east side, from its junction with Manchester Road (A682) for a distance of 21.5 metres in a north westerly direction.
6. Introduce a restriction of waiting between 8am and 6pm in Manchester Road, Nelson, the north west side, from its junction with the Centreline of Victoria Street to a point 16 metres south west of its junction with the Centreline of Macleod Street.
7. Introduce a limited waiting parking place for 30 minutes with no return within 1 hour Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm in Albert Street, Nelson, the north east side, from a point 21.5 metres north west of its junction with the centreline of Manchester Road for a distance of 5 metres in a north westerly direction.
