(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION)
ORDER 2026 - TEMP/26/65
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate a safe working area for utility works and the installation of a fire exit, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of: (i) hope St la, from 2m east of the extended east kerbline of Hope St, eastwards for 12m; & (ii) hope St (leg leading to Hope St La), at Hope St La; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on any part of: (i) hope St la, both sides, from 2m east of the extended east kerbline of Hope St, eastwards for 28.5m; (ii) hope St (leg leading to Hope St La), north-east side, from 2m east of the extended east kerbline of Hope St, northwestwards for 2.5m; & (iii) hope St (leg leading to Hope St La), south-east side, from 2m east of the extended east kerbline of Hope St, south-westwards for 4m. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in (b). The one-way restriction on hope St la (west to east direction), will be suspended to facilitate local access and access for vehicles in actual use with the undertaking of the works. The alternative route for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closures of hope St la & hope St (leg leading to Hope St La) is Hope St, Charlotte Sq, Sth Charlotte St and Hope St La.
The Order shall have effect 04/05/26 to 15/05/26.
