(VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all enabling powers. The effect of the Order – in response to issues arising from commuter parking – is to introduce new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ parking restrictions on both sides of the entire length of Kalabergos Close at Frontier Park in Banbury.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads – Cherwell District) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2021 will be further amended, updating Map Tile: ‘AM57’ in the process.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the end of 29 May 2026. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the orders – which are proposed as part of the Councils ‘Vision Zero’ (road safety) strategy – is to introduce lower speed limits on various sections of the A361 between Williamscot (near Banbury) & Bradwell (near Burford) as follows:
A. 40mph speed limits:
1. Williamscot Hill – between a point 190 metres northeast of its junction with the access to ‘Earlswood’ at Thatchems Farm, and a point 215 metres northeast of its junction with Thorpe Road, replacing a section of 50mph speed limit in the process,
2. Shipton-under-Wychwood – between a point 15 metres south of its junction with Dog Kennel Lane, and a point 375 metres south of its junction with Upper End, replacing a section of 60mph National speed limit in the process.
3. Bradwell Grove – between a point 150 metres north of Woodside Drive at Bradwell Grove, and a point 110 metres south of the Kencot junction, replacing the existing 50mph speed limit in the process.
B. 50mph speed limit:

C hipping Norton to Ascott-under-Wychwood – between a point 520 metres south of its junction with the B4026 Charlbury Road in Chipping Norton, and a point 146 metres northeast of the centre of Shipton Rail Bridge at Ascott-under-Wychwood, replacing a section of 60mph National speed limit in the process.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Wardington Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2023, Oxfordshire County Council (Ascott, Milton, and Shipton-Under-Wychwood Parishes) (Speed Limit) Order 2024, and the Oxfordshire County Council (A361 Burford to Lechlade, West Oxfordshire District) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2007 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
South Newington, Church Lane
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 27 April 2026
Coming into force: 5 May 2026
This Order is being introduced because of a large scheme to underground the electricity cables in the village as part of upgrading the network works which are anticipated to be completed 15 May 2026. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Church Lane from Main Road to High Street. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic will be signed locally. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. Coming into force: 20 May 2026
This Order is being introduced because of electrical utility works which are anticipated to be completed 18 August 2026. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Wykham Lane between the junction with High Street to next to the A361. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Broad Gap, Oxford Road, Bloxham Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17452/RMF)

This Order is being introduced because of electrical power works which are to be completed 28 June 2026. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Ells Lane from the junction with Ellsbury House to left of the junction with Crab Tree Close. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Banbury Road, Bloxham Road, Main Road, Broughton Road, Queensway and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17451/RMF)
