(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Netherthorpe Road from a point approximately 315m north east of its junction with Whitwell Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction from Tuesday 5th May until Friday  8th May 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Back Lane, Worksop Road, Common Road, Netherthorpe Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (repairs to water apparatus).

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (electrical works).

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians will be via the footpaths and footways adjacent Nursery Drive, Highfield View, Brinsworth Road, Rotherham Road, St Marys Drive and vice versa

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the order if implemented will be:-

(i)     Revoke the 40mph speed limit to the part of road specified Schedule 1 to this notice;

(ii)    Introduce a 40mph speed limit to the parts of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice;

Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the borough of Rotherham in exercise of its powers under sections 32 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and Schedule 9 to that Act, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers proposes to make the abovementioned order. It is proposed to introduce an off street car park regulated by the Council off Snail Hill, Rotherham which will serve as a ‘permit holders only’ car park. The proposed days and hours of operation, the maximum period for which vehicles may wait and the scale of charges that will apply are specified in the Schedule to this notice.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the part of road specified in item (iii) of the Schedule to this notice and to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the parts of footpath specified in items (i) and (ii) the schedule. The part of Thornhill Place Footpath will be closed from Monday 11th May until Tuesday 26th May 2026. The part of Saville Road Footpath 3 and the part of Saville Road will be closed from Monday 25th May until Tuesday 9th June 2026.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and footpaths (Gas works). Schedule

(i)     Thornhill Place Footpath 1 between Thornhill Place and Church Green (the alternative route will be via the footways adjacent to Church Street and Barnsley Road and vice versa).

(iii)   Saville Road between Cutts Avenue and Cemetery Road (the alternative route will be via Cutts Avenue, Cemetery Road and vice versa).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the 28th. April 2026 which shall come into effect on the 4th. May 2026. Notice of the proposal to make the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 26th. March 2026. The effect of the order will be to introduce an off street car park regulated by the Council off Grove Road, Rotherham which will serve as a ‘Permit Holders Only’ car park. The proposed days and hours of operation, the maximum period for which vehicles may wait and the scale of charges that will apply are specified in the Schedule to this notice.
