Glenwood Drive - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 GLENWOOD DRIVE, ANLABY COMMON (WHOLE EXTENT)
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Glenwood Drive, Anlaby Common (whole extent). The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed excavation to replace damaged telecoms pole works. Unable to maintain minimum width to carry out replacement. Works are to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within the given time.
There is no alternative route for traffic affected by this closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence Tuesday 12 May 2026 between 08.00 hours and 18.00 hours and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
