What is happening?

SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC WILLERBY SQUARE ROUNDABOUT, WILLERBY
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Willerby Square Roundabout, Willerby (inside lane and full closure from central reservation on Kingston Road to roundabout) commencing Monday 18 May 2026 (between 08.00 hours and 17.00 hours) to enable high profile gas main reinforcement works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 15 June 2026. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Kingston Road, Willerby Square Roundabout and Gorton Road Roundabout, Willerby.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
