(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026

Fife Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to –

(i)  temporarily prohibit the use by vehicular traffic, pedal cyclists and pedestrians of Bennochy Rd (Rail Bridge - from Forth Ave to Victoria Rd);

(ii) temporarily prohibit the use by vehicular traffic of Balsusney Rd (from Bennochy Bridge northeasterly for approx. 50m); and

(iii) temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic on Whyte Melville Rd (from Forth Ave to Abbotshall Rd) (excluding buses and access to the car parks serving Kirkcaldy Railway Station and University of Dundee accommodation).

The Order is to allow rail bridge works to be carried out in safety and will be operational from 12/05/26 to 02/07/27 or until earlier completion of the works. The alternative route for through traffic will be via Forth Ave and Abbotshall Rd.
