THE A64 TRUNK ROAD (LAYBYS FROM BRAMHAM CROSSROADS TO EASTFIELD ROUNDABOUT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A64 Trunk Road, in the Counties of West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire, to enable grass cutting, sign cleaning, gully emptying and sweeping works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to start on Friday 1 May 2026 for 11 months, or until completed, and will take place between 9am and 8pm.

The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the laybys adjacent to the A64 eastbound and westbound carriageways from Bramham Crossroads to Eastfield Roundabout, a distance of 84,800 metres.

Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 30 April 2026 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
