What is happening?

THE SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL

(CONTROLLED ZONE)
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 1987
(AMENDMENT NO. 57) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 30 April 2026 Sheffield City Council made the above Orders which come into operation on 5 May 2026 under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce:
- One Way Traffic on part of Norfolk Street;
- One Way Traffic except pedal cycles on parts of Charles Street, Pinstone Street, Surrey Street and Union Street;

And remove:
- One Way Traffic on the whole or parts of Pinstone Street and Surrey Street;
A copy of the Order may be viewed on the Sealed Traffic Orders section on the Council website at

or examined during normal opening hours at First Point Reception, Howden House, 1 Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2SH. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the enabling Act or that a requirement of the enabling Act or any of the relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks of 5 May 2026 to make application for that purpose to the High Court.
