What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(DOVER STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Dover Street
between its junctions with Regent Street and Prouds Lane.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 11 May 2026 until 14 May 2026.
The diversion route is: Regent Street, Prouds Lane and vice
versa.
The Order is required to facilitate works for a long comm
pipe renew by Severn Trent Water.
